Fish molee

Ingredients:
500 gms. fish fillet, cleaned
1 tsp. red chilli powder
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
3 tbsp. coconut oil
1 tsp. mustard seeds
2 sprigs curry leaves
1 medium onion, sliced
5 cloves garlic, chopped
1 inch fresh ginger, chopped
3 green chillies, cut in half
1 medium-sized tomato, sliced
400 ml. thick coconut milk
1/2 tsp. crushed black pepper
2 tbsp. vinegar
Salt to taste
Method
Marinate the fish fillet with red chilli powder, half the turmeric powder, salt and few drops of oil.
Sear both sides of the marinated fish on a non-stick pan. Heat oil in a pan.
Add mustard seeds and allow to crackle.
Add curry leaves, ginger, garlic and onion.
Allow garlic to turn slightly brown and onions soft.
Add remaining turmeric powder, green chillies and diced tomatoes. Stir well.
Add 100 ml. water and cook for 2 mins.
Add coconut milk and bring to boil.
Add the fish fillet and cook till gravy is slightly thick.
Add crushed black pepper and vinegar.
Adjust seasoning and serve hot with steamed rice.
